The Kay Family Association UK

About us

The KAY Family Association UK was formed in the summer of 1998 by a small group of dedicated Kay family history researchers. It had been recognised for some time that there were many Kay researchers working on their own who would benefit by being able to communicate with other like-minded workers. The aim of the Association is to encourage study of the history of the Kay family in the UK and to provide a focus for members seeking information. We want to provide a forum where members can exchange information, find new ideas and forge new friendships.

Numbers may have grown, but we are still dedicated researchers. Many of our members continue to be actively involved with their family history, yet still manage to find time to head off into other areas as well; we have a number of projects on the go and are always looking for more.

Over the years we have gathered a great deal of information, not only from our own researches, but also from family trees submitted by members. The security and integrity of that information is of paramount importance and we will not publish it or make it available to others inside or outside the Association without permission.

We are now beginning to make data available on line, and are fully aware of the security implications and of our responsibilities. No data will be published in such a way without permission, data is only available to members who have been provided with secure access, and all data displayed in restricted areas of the site is encrypted.
